Radio cheenar is an independent and self-reliant Radio which is on the air according to the constitution, media and other existing Laws of Afghanistan.

Radio Cheenar was established in 2012 by Mr. Muhammad Ghafoor “Mahidi” the journalist, writer and political analyzer.

Radio Cheenar began to broadcast its probationary programs in October 25th 2012 and after 4 months by holding a wide opening session on 17th February 2013, officially released its first radio program.
Radio Cheenar currently produce 36 Radio shows such as religious, social, political, sports, medical, educational, cultural and literature, released according to a daily schedule.

Radio Cheenar has 19 hours none-stop broadcast starting at 05:00 AM ending at 12:00 PM.
Currently, Radio Cheenar has 10 employees as broad cast journalists and 4 others as sound technicians administered by one director.

As the rule of administrative division, beside the 2 broadcast and technical managers, there is another manager to manage the two basic daily news hours and the hourly news bulletins which covers both interior and worldwide latest news.

After getting financial self-confidence in the first 3 months of its establishing, Radio Cheenar aimed to expend its broadcast worldwide and make the rest of Afghan people living abroad pleased.

Therefore a particular Website www.cheenarradio.com was made.
In August 2014, due to receiving frequent requests from Afghans living in different countries, Radio Cheenar took another step and added a new segment in its website which makes the audiences able to hear all radio programs lively anywhere in the world. And now, all the programs are lively heard worldwide.

Besides, Radio Cheenar uses Face book, Twitter and Skype pages and messengers to have direct communication with its audiences so that they can participate in live programs.
